Hazrat Tajuddin Baba History – Hazrat Baba Tajuddin was born 15 km from Nagpur city. He was born on January 27, 1861 in distant Kamathi village. His father Syed Badruddin was a Subedar in the army and his mother Maryam V was the daughter of Major Sheikh Miransaheb, Subedar of Madrasi Paltan. He was exceptional from the time of birth. Baba's ancestors were residents of Arabstan. Out of these, his father came to Kamathi for work and after getting a job, he settled in Kamathi. When Baba was one year old, his father passed away, but after the age of 9, his mother also passed away. It was the grandmother who raised them up and sent them to the madrassa located in Kamathi for training.

In those days a fakir named Hazrat Abdullah Shah lived in Kamathi. One day when he came to the madrasa and his eyes fell on this child, he said to the teacher who taught him - 'What do you teach this, he has come after learning everything from the top (previous birth). Saying this, Shah Fakir took out the khurma from his bag and chewed half himself and kept the remaining child in Tajuddin's mouth and said – eat less, sleep less and speak less and read Quran Sharif. It is said that Tajuddin changed after eating khurma, for three days his eyes kept flowing and his humble world changed.
He lost interest in the things of the world. When he was 18 years old, the Kanhan river flowing in Kamathi was flooded (1879-80), causing great damage to his house. In 1881, upon completion of his training by his maternal uncle, he was transferred to Nagpur's Regiment No. Got admitted at 13. After three years in the army, he had to go to Sagar. After reaching the tent of Madrasi platoon, he met the saint Hazrat Dawood, who was worshiping in the deserted area, and after the day's job, spent the whole night with him in bhajan-bandgi. When his maternal grandmother came to know that the young grandson was missing from the army job, she reached Sagar to find out. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Tajuddin spends the nights in the worship of God.
Babasaheb started drowning in the remembrance of God. One such incident happened these days, which laid the foundation for the next phase of Babasaheb's life. Babasaheb's duty was imposed on the maintenance of the tools. One night, at two o'clock, Baba Saheb was on guard, the British Captain suddenly came to inspect. After the inspection, when he started returning, what does he see in a mosque at some distance that the soldier who had come after seeing him guarding, is offering prayers in the mosque. He got very angry. He returned. But what does he see that the constable (Baba Saheb) is present at his place. The captain looked again at the mosque and found the same thing.
The next day he summoned Baba Saheb in front of his senior officer and said that we have seen you at two places in the night. We feel that you are some special servant of God. Hearing this, Baba became very angry.
One day it came that Baba Tajuddin in his al-mast condition threatened to go in front of his army officer and handed over his resignation from the job in his hand and immediately went out of the army compound. Information was sent to his house immediately from the army. When Nani came once again and saw the ocean, Tajuddin was seen scouring the streets. Nani thought they had gone mad and brought them back to Kamathi. He was shown to doctors, Hakims in Kamathi but he had attained that state where oneness of soul and Paramatma was visible. The common people thought him insane and the group of children started throwing stones at him, but Huzoor never got angry or even ranted. They used to collect those stones on the contrary. If a person stopped the children, they would get angry with that man.
Huzoor performed many miracles in Kamathi, due to which people got an idea of his spiritual and spiritual power and many sad people came to Baba with their pain and started getting better by his grace. Day by day the words of Baba's miracles started spreading far and wide and when some people thought of taking illegitimate advantage of him, they announced that they would now go to the madhouse. When he started walking barefoot in front of the European Club of Kamathi the next day, the British women got angry and called the police who caught him, where on 26 August 1892, the Cantonment and District Magistrate of Kamathi sent him to a mental asylum.
Even after being locked in a madhouse, Baba Tajuddin was seen roaming the streets and alleys of the city and performed thousands of miracles. When many senior officers also saw Baba outside, the ground on his feet slipped. When senior army officers from Nagpur came to find out the truth, the doctor said that they are locked in the room. When both of them reached near the room, they saw that Baba was sitting in a meditative posture in the same way as Kamathi was sitting under the trees of the market.
When the military officer expressed his regret, Baba said, 'You do your work, we do our work, then what was it, every Sunday that British officer would come there to see Baba. Later in Kamathi, it was as if it was raining Baba's miracles. He made his devotees see Shiva by wrapping a snake around his neck, and after the death of a sick prostitute named Girji, when people came to ask him whether Baba should bury her or burn her, Baba sent tea for her and said give her a drink. The dead Girji opened his mouth to drink the tea sent to Baba's hand and as soon as he drank the tea, he got up and saw Baba.
On September 21, 1908, due to the efforts of Maharaja Shrimant Raja Bahadur Radhoji Rao Bhonsle of Nagpur, Baba was released from the madhouse and stayed in the 'Lalkothi' built in front of the king's royal palace, Shakradara, where the king himself used to attend him in the morning and evening and spent all his life. The servants and servants lived in his service. Baba stayed with all the Hindu-Muslim disciples, gradually Baba's health started deteriorating and on August 17, 1925, at the age of 66, his soul left Chola in Shakhra.
His last rites were performed at 'Tajabad' and his samadhi was built there which is known as the holy tomb of Baba. Thousands of murshids from all over the country come to Tajabad for his darshan, but get his verdict by visiting the three shrines of Huzoor, Tajabad Sharif, Shakrdara Sharif and Waki Sharif (penance land). In this way, Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Auliya gave a new light of spirituality to the world through his life. Urs is celebrated every year at Baba's tomb. Baba's kinsmen come from far away and offer prasad and ask for a vow from Baba.
Baba Tajwale's sandal from Fatuhabad, the house of Baba's worshiper, Baba Jialal Pal, comes to Baba's tomb with pomp with a band bajae, on this day the Urs committee organizes a huge langar and in the night, for the entertainment of the Akidtamanto, a counter-Qawwali is performed.
